Joey Jordison Masks

Perhaps a fan oh….forgive me…a Maggot’s favorite mask is that of Joey Jordison. Jordison is a co-founder and the primary drummer for the band. Jordison’s dedication to music led to performances and work with many other bands over his career, including Metallica, Korn, Stayrico, OTEP, System of a Down, Marylyn Manson, and 3 Inches of Blood. With the evil clown like stare, the Joey mask is a true work of art. Joey is also known as #1 in Slipknot.

Fehn or “#3″ joined the band in 1997 as a percussionist after original percussionist, Greg Weltz was allegedly forced out of the band. Fehn has also contribute with back up vocals both live and in the studio. Fehn wears a mask similar to one known in Japanese folklore as Tengu style. Fehn has worn 6 different variations of the mask however the nose is always 7 1/2 inches long. No one is really sure of what inspired the mask however theories have ranged from Black Plague Era mask worn by doctors where the long nose was filled with herbs to protect from the stench to that of the Pinocchio character.

Jim Root Masks

Jim root or “#4″ is one of the guitarists for Slipknot and one the the last members to join the band in 1999. He is also a songwriter and a drum player. His most recent mask is jester-styled, but has vertical black scars detailing around both eyes, and a zipper in between black lips. Another favorite for Halloween Slipknot Masks among Maggots! It has been a theory that the mask was inspired by the main character in the motion picture The Crow.

Craig Jones Masks

Craig Jones or “#5″ wears a mask that commonly get him referred to as “Pinhead”. He is also been called “The Silent One” as he usually remains mysteriously silent. His most recent mask has a collection of nails rising from its head. Shawn Crahan Masks

Shawn Crahan or “#6″ is one of the 2 custom percussionists and back up vocal singer for SlipKnot and wears clown style masks. One of Crahan’s most recent masks for “All Hope is Gone” is black with a clown-like nose, and has a zipper in the mouth and he names the mask “Mrs Clown”.

Michael “Mick” Thompson Masks

During Slipknot’s early era, Michael Thomson or “#7″ wore a hockey mask that had six circular holes in the mouth area which was a green color. In Slipknot and Iowa, Thomson wore a leather mask that looked like metal and had slits in the mouth area. In Vol. 3, Thomson wore a silver mask that had the same lines, but they were longer then shorter to make it appear more aggressive. Thomson’s most recent mask is metallic and has the same face. More great choices for Halloween Slipknot masks.

Corey Taylor Masks

Corey Taylor aka “#8″ is the main vocalist for SlipKnot. His mask used to be a leather face cover, with brown/blonde dreads. Some of the dreads were made of his real hair. He used to wear them through the mask, but he cut them off because it was a pain to pull them through. His most recent mask is made out of molded latex instead of leather. Another fan favorite for Halloween slipknot masks.

Then Over To Something/Someone Even More Scary:

Friday the 13th 2009 Jason Mask Adult

Sh sh sh, ah ah ah. It’s the sound that strikes fear into the hearts of ever camp counselor that ever lived. You’d just better hope you’re not working the summer job at Camp Crystal Lake. Or should I call it Camp Blood? Yeah, we all know the famous story of Jason Voorhees. He was an odd and possibly slightly disfigured child who couldn’t swim. Regardless of WHY he was doggy paddling furiously in the middle of a lake, the camp counselors failed to rescue him because they were too preoccupied with teen lust. Hmm, this sort of tale never ends well. Anyone who knows the formula of horror flicks can tell you that. Needless to say Jason has become an icon on Halloween night. Random jason masks can be spotted around every corner. High school boys especially go crazy for these things. Will the madness ever end?

I believe the twisted idea and famous boogey man has resulted in 11 films at this point. If you’ve yet to see them all, then you’d better get busy. No human being can ever get his/her fill of blood, carnage, suspense and jason masks. It’s simply an ongoing cycle. My favorite has to be the second one. Now I do realize that most horror flick buffs will frown at this selection, but I prefer Jason to actually be in the film. Mrs. Voorhees didn’t do it for me in the original “Friday the 13th.” However, when Jason appeared in the second one, dressed like a farm hick and sporting a white sack over his head, it ruled. Then with the third installment came the famous jason masks. If you haven’t already noticed, this guise is merely a hockey mask. Apparently Jason wants everyone to know he’s a big NHL fan. He may not ever speak, but the mask says volumes about his dedication to the sport.

Okay, enough goofy banter about horror flicks and jason masks. By now you should be ordering yours online. Virtually any Halloween costume store on the planet carries these. Movie horror masks and costumes are often the cream of the crop on October 31st. We all love to dress up as our favorite movie madman or super hero. Get your jason masks and Halloween costumes ahead of time this year.
