Not just the kids’ costumes.

If I dress my kids in their kitty cat halloween costumes from last year..?

Do you think I can just crate them on the airplane when we go on vacation? Pass them off as pets..

I really don’t want to have to deal with the tantrum that will undoubtedly occur at some point midflight…

What kind of parent would you be if you and your partner had kids?

I’d be the artistic mom, the one who would be helping their kids draw and paint and who made their kids Halloween costumes.

What kind would you be?

Kids (4-12) slutty Halloween costumes?

I have been looking at a lot of Halloween costumes for my 3 year old and keep on seeing these revealing, slutty, costumes for girls as old as 4! What in the world are people thinking?
I already have a cute ladybug costume, but I am just wondering who buys these slutty costumes for their kids…

My wife is mad because I let our kids make Halloween costumes this weekend; what’s her problem?

I can’t believe how she is acting! Her mother came home from the hospital yesterday after a minor surgery, and my wife went up to the hospital in the morning to bring her home and spend the day with her. I was left in charge of the house and kids, and before she left she said it would be nice if, instead of spending the day drinking and letting the kids tear up the house, I would get everyone together and go to church. Well, I was squirming at the thought of that, and I know she could tell, because she said that if I was good and did the church thing she’d bring home some surprise for me. Well, the surprise part sounded okay, so I said that I would.

Well, when I got the kids up and said we were all going to go to church, they started whining, saying church was boring, and that they wanted to get ready for Halloween. I said no, that we were going to church, so everyone get ready. They whined and complained, but started dragging themselves around. I went into the kitchen to see about breakfast.

Well, our five year old comes into the kitchen and says he’s thirsty, so I said for him to go to the fridge and get out a juice box to drink, but he grabbed one of my beers by mistake, so I had to take it from him and exchange it for a juice box, telling him, "No, this one is daddy’s drink; here’s your juice." Well, I really intended not to start drinking, but it was already in my hand, so I thought one wouldn’t hurt.

Well, the other kids came into the kitchen and my oldest daughter started in on me when she me drinking the beer, saying I would surely be too drunk to drive, so no one could go to church. I said that was nonsense, that one beer wasn’t going to inebriate me, but she kept up her protest and really started to irritate me, so I ordered everyone out of the kitchen. No sooner had they left the kitchen than the three girls started arguing over hair barrettes, and my yelling at them to knock it off did no good; my head was starting to hurt from the noise, so I had another beer, just to stop my headache.

My daughter comes back in the kitchen, sees the empty beer can, and me drinking the new one, and starts hollering again that I’m too drunk to drive, and I just gave up; if they didn’t want to go to church, fine. Well, we got through breakfast, although they said their mother wouldn’t like me giving them leftover pizza and cola, but I told them their mother wouldn’t mind what they ate for breakfast if they didn’t tell her, now would she? Third beer.

After breakfast, the kids were all hyper about Halloween, and wanted to go shopping for Halloween stuff. I was on my fourth beer and thought they should learn that crap like that is expensive, so I told them that when I was a kid we never bought costumes or decorations, but made them ourselves. I told them to look around the house for stuff they could use for homemade costumes and decorations.

After that, we had a great time! I joined in on the fun, helping them cut up sheets for ghost costumes, use their mother’s makeup kit to make them look like ghouls, etc. I got inspired, and transformed our son into an impressive punk-rocker, even shaved a killer mohawk into his hair! I knew he would totally have the coolest costume in his kindergarten class.

Well, as I’m finishing his hair, I hear my wife walk into the living room, where she spied the couch covered with the silly string the kids had sprayed on it to look like spider webs. I heard her say, "Oh, God", then start yelling, "Jack! WHERE ARE YOU? WILL YOU COME HERE, PLEASE?" I knew from the sound of her voice I was in trouble then.

It didn’t matter that the kids and I had had a great day, she just dragged me through the house, shrieking as she found each new thing to complain about. I am not too certain what she was carrying on for; something about 1500 thread count sheets not being good for costumes; after fourteen beers, I wasn’t listening too hard. She also wasn’t happy with her makeup being "destroyed", as she put it, and why hadn’t I kept my promise to go to church and not drink?!

Well, she was being so unreasonable then, that my protests that the kids had practically put the beer in my hand and forced it down my throat made no impression on her. I insisted that the kids didn’t want to go to church anyway, and their costumes were lovely. Well, she went on a tirade, sent the kids to bed, and made me sleep on the couch. She never did give me the surprise she promised. :(

Why can’t she see this wasn’t my fault? And what is her problem with the kids having some Halloween fun?

Do kids really “need Halloween costumes”?

There was a girl on TV, who organized a costume drive for little kids who don’t have any, or cannot afford costumes for Halloween. And she said that they "need" them. I don’t see it. It’s not like food. They need food to live. I think that Halloween has been so blown out of proportion. We made our own costumes sometimes when my friends and I were little kids. My cousins were very creative. I really only remember going out for Halloween about 2 times. My parents were really not into that "holiday", and I think they only let us go out because our cousins were going out. And it was much safer than today is. It’s a good thing what the little girl did, but kids really do not "need costumes" IMO.
Tyler, it was a local news story. And it is not a "myth". This is not the same world as it was years ago. My little friends and I did not have to worry about getting raped or kidnapped or killed when we did go out for Halloween. Today kids do. The sickos are out there in record numbers. Now the parties with people that you know are different. And what about kids parents who do not believe in Halloween and ghost and goblins? Should they have to change just because others believe in it?

Animal Costumes For Happy Halloween Kids And Adults

There are several different approaches to animal costumes. One of them is the professional mascot approach. In this approach, your animal costume should look as cartoony as possible. Professional mascots all have a particular look that owes a lot to Disney animation. Many of the costumes are actually made by the same companies, and they all have a very slick appearance that focuses on anthropomorphic design.

Then again, it all depends on what you are wearing an animal costume for. Sometimes, animal ear costumes are the best. A lot of people like to dress up as cats, wolves, or other creatures with pointy ears because it looks attractive. With a little bit of face paint and some pointy ears, you can come up with a cheap animal costume. This is a great approach for Halloween parties – particularly ones held in college. It will give people the message that you are fun and flirty and open to talk to strangers. More importantly for many, it is less expensive than an animal mascot costume.

There is also the approach favored by kids animal costumes. In these, cuteness comes above all else. They also are cartoony like animal mascot costumes, but with an important difference. The emphasis is on the eyes and adorable expressions. They can be soulful, pouty, sunshiny – any basic emotion. Although these costumes used to be used exclusively by children, nowadays they’re more popular with adults than ever. As a matter of fact, at the Halloween party I went to last year, this was the most popular animal costume design.

Finally, there are the animal costumes that strive for realism. Anyone can be a cute cartoony animal, but if you can come up with a realistic animal costume design, people will be really impressed with your look. It is an especially good effect if you’re trying to be scary. Dressing up as a wolf, mountain cat, or some other dangerous and vicious animal makes a big impression in Halloween parties.

Then again, you can always feel free to combine the different kinds of animal costumes until you find the right balance for yourself. The important thing is to create a fun costume design that you enjoy wearing and that looks good on you. Uniqueness counts a lot, so sometimes you can score more points by coming up with something totally original than with coming up with something that is traditionally “good.” Feel free to experiment!

Where can I find the picture of Michael Jackson wearing a blue t-shirt, holding Paris with Prince behind him?

Ok I’m looking for the picture of Michael Jackson and his kids Prince and Paris, where Michael is sitting on the floor with Paris in his lap, and Prince is standing behind him. Both kids are wearing Halloween costumes, Paris is a princess and Prince is a skeleton it looks like.

Frankenstein Costumes 2009

Universal Studios Monsters Frankenstein Child Costume

The autumn season is many people’s favourite time of the year. The air is so brisk and clean; the colorful leaves are drifting to the ground, and the heat and humidity are nowhere to be found. Okay, that didn’t rhyme on purpose. I just want you to know that.

Now, are you prepared for what this outstanding season is about to bring? Because if you’re not, then you had better hit up the local drug and grocery stores for some serious candy. You will need it when all those little trick-or-treators come around. Trust me; they will be itching for some heavy duty sugar. I can’t guarantee what they will do to you if you’re lacking.

Universal Studios Monsters Frankie’s Girl Child Costume

Therefore, you need that candy supply! Oh, and don’t forget an awesome costume. Whether it be a superman, clown, batman, vampire, mummy, or Frankenstein costume is irrelevant. Just have one on. This occasion requires a little spirit.

Halloween Express is everywhere now. We have three locations near our home. This is probably one of the best stores to visit for Halloween costumes and props. My daughter and I were in there the other day. She wanted to try on one of the Kids Halloween Frankenstein Costumes.

Bobble Head Monster Kids Costume

I told her if she wore it that everyone would assume she’s a boy. Ah, she didn’t care. That’s the way to be. Wear whatever it is you really want to wear. The important part is that you’re happy, excited and having a blast. I know we always do on Halloween night. A couple years back I took my family to a costume party. It was a work thing. Yeah, you know; one of those. Nevertheless, it was a fun and memorable experience.

I saw a Frankenstein costume there that practically blew everyone else’s get-up away. This thing looked so realistic. Just to be clear, I’m talking about Frankenstein’s monster here. Not Victor himself. Many people make this mistake. Anyway, the high-end Frankenstein costume was outstanding. I had to wonder who did this guy’s make-up. It must have cost him a fortune. Now that is what Halloween is all about. He’s in the zone.

Creature Hoodie Child Costume

Ah, which costume to buy this year? No worries! If there are two you really like, just go with one this year and one the next. That always works for me. Oh, and be sure you check out that Halloween Express near you. Who knows; maybe you’ll want a Frankenstein costume.

Have any ideas for kids’ Halloween costumes?

I have 8 children and usually dress them according to a theme. Last year they were a flock of crows, and I was a scarecrow. The year before they were inmates in a chain gang, I was the guard. The year before they were the X-men. The year before that they were animals and I the zoo keeper. I’m running out of ideas. I have 8 boys and 2 girls. Help… I usually make the costumes myself and I need to get started right away.

do you usually spend a lot for your kids Halloween costumes?

Most people don’t realize that large pieces of coral, which have been painted brown and attached to the skull by common wood screws, can make a child look like a dear.

I have 3 young kids – suggestions on related Halloween costumes??

I have an almost 4 year old son, an almost 2 year old daughter, and a 4 month old son. I have a thing about my kids’ Halloween costumes coordinating (i.e. last year, my oldest 2 were an angel and a devil). Any suggestions for the 3 of them – my lil man threw a curveball at me and so I’m struggling to come up with something for all 3. Also, I live in Ohio so Halloween time gets a little nippy outside so no super duper skimpy costumes are possible either! Any suggestions are appreciated – thanks!
