my mom and her boyfriend want to go in a couple costume for halloween and they dont know who they should be plz help

I am going to be an ’80s girl for halloween.
I need:
Legwarmers
Lace fingerless gloves
Bright red lipstick
A miniskirt
A flashdance sweater or maybe a vintage michael jackson shirt? (everyone loved mj in ‘82 :])

Also, what kind of shoes should I get to go with the legwarmers? High top converse doesn’t sound like it’d look right. What else do I need for my costume?

Again also, Is this even a good costume? My mom says I won’t stand out and that nobody will understand my costume; but most people who pay attention to the costumes are the ones who give out candy and they would have most likely been born in the ’80s.

Alright. I need an idea for a scary costume. As in terrifying. My best friend and I are going trick-or-treating (even though my mom has forbidden me to, because she says Im too old) But I want to scare the crap out of little kids with my costume, as well as impress Kyle (my best friend) with my awesome threads. But it cant be scandalous, I don’t want sexy. Just scary.

I was wondering if someone has an easy and quick how to make a costume for my kids pattern. I am looking for a classic witch costume and a devil costume for my kids for Halloween. I would like to use things that I already have in my house or that are relatively inexpensive(CHEAP!) to purchase and could be reused for regular kid play after that. I am not a seamstress by far but I do have access to a sewing machine and my mom IS an excellent seamstress so I am sure she would help if needed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What kind would you be?

I am goning to a halloween party at my friends house and I am not lalowed to buy a whole new costume seeing how the prices are like 50 bucks cheapest at Party City. My mom said I had to be creative and I could find an outfit at home or somewhere cheap cheap cheap and like buy the accessories or something. Any ideas? i do’t have much at home so that’s why I tured to yahoo answers lol

I keep finding things that are too sexy. I’m 13 and I need a halloween costume but I don’t want anything too revealing. I’m going trick or treating with my mom’s friend’s kids (2 boys – one 9 and one 11) and I don’t want to have my boobs hanging out. The most not sexy costume I found was this really long witch dress and my mom says I’m that every year which I am but that’s only because I don’t want to show too much. All the costumes in my size are either really short & show my legs or show lots of cleavage. All I want is a costume that doesn’t show much. The only other cool costume I’ve seen is Michael Jackson but they don’t even have that in my size! I want something that’s not flattering to my body which is difficult to find because even when I try on ugly outfits they end up looking sexy. I hate that. Are there any costumes out there that aren’t too revealing? Oh and I’m in England and England is gay so they don’t have party city here

After seeing “The Wiz” the 70’s version of the old classic The Wizard of Oz, my kids were in love… after all it does have one of their (and the world’s) favorite icon, Michael Jackson, in it and with the catchy tunes, bright colors, awesome costumes and superb dancing my children couldn’t help but fall in love. Now they have begged me to allow them to be characters from “The Wiz”. Not the Broadway classic costumes but the actual movie characters and I have looked everywhere. The costumes that some local and online shops do have involve cheap material, little selection and look very similar to the original Wizard of Oz, which is not of any interest for my very opinionated, vibrant children. Does anyone have any suggestions of how to make these costumes without spending an arm and a leg… especially since this will be a one-time event?

last halloween, i was going to go out as Michael, but my mom didn’t want me to. so i told her that this year i was going to. she really doesn’t like that, but i don’t care. so, i have to come up with the costume. I’ve checked out thrift stores and costume stores. i was thinking the "Smooth Criminal" outfit, but I can’t seem to find the shoes he wore. I’d buy stuff off ebay, but i can’t have an account until i’m 18, 4 years away, and my mom and dad REFUSE to buy ANYTHING about Michael. I don’t find that fair, but they are racist. anyways, i’m all out of ideas, and i have to either buy or make my costume. I don’t have much money, but i have enough. so, can you guys help me come up with ideas? i’d appreciate it a lot, since my mom won’t help me…

Alright, so my boyfriend’s little cousin is having a Halloween party this year and I was invited. She is four, so the costumes have to be appropriate. My boyfriend’s mom suggested that he go as a Jonas brother, and I as Hannah Montana. We both despise the idea. By the way, (in case you need more details) he is 16 and I am 15. He is about 6′1", with dark skin, hair, and eyes. I am close to 5′4", with very pale skin, light blue eyes, and long ash blonde hair. We haven’t discussed couple costumes yet, but I think it would be cute and he most likely won’t be opposed to the idea.
